Backup

The user-friendly Williams Online Backup Service interface is similar to a standard Windows Explorer layout. You can also:

  • Select several backup options that simplify configuring your file uploads
  • Use the backup scheduler to choose the exact time you want your system to upload any changes to your servers and determine how often to automatically perform backups.
  • Use a file filter option to select specific files and folders for backup.
  • Store files with a specific extension or block files with predetermined extensions
  • View an unlimited history of your file backups, allowing you to view any file you have recorded at any point in time
  • Restore specific versions of a file for viewing and to review updates

Our service features a few unique encryption procedures that provides extensive data protection on your computer, in transit, and on our servers – a feature unseen in other services. Before your files transfer to our servers, we encrypt the data stored on your computer. The data passes over a secure SSL connection and is stored under full AES encryption upon arrival on our servers.

The Williams Online Backup Service also provides integrated local backup software that will make storing your files on local media such as an external USB drive simple and efficient.

By adding a physical drive locally, you can avoid spending valuable hours restoring your files online in the event of hard drive failure.

As an option to avoid extensive upload times for data storage, send Williams a physical copy of the data you’d like to back up on a hard disk. We use this data as a “seed” for your backup to allow the system to modify the pieces of the files that have changed since the last update as a way to save you days or weeks of transfer time.
