President and CEO of Williams Data Management recognized for his impactful service.
LOS ANGELES, CA NOVEMBER 22, 2019 – Williams Data Management is pleased to announce that president and CEO, Douglas Williams, was honored with a Partner in Academic Excellence Award at the AMIT LA Evening of Inspiration and Laughter on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2019.
Four years ago, Douglas joined the AMIT Los Angeles Leadership Council. This inaugural awards ceremony was the first of its kind in Los Angeles, and Williams was selected to receive the Partner in Academic Excellence Award as a result of his impactful service as a founding member of the AMIT Los Angeles chapter and for helping the organization to grow its brand identity.
“The November 19th Inspiration and Laughter event was a breakthrough event which provided Los Angeles a whole new level of stature within AMIT,” said Evan Green, vice president of AMIT Western Region. “Doug’s vast experience in the business world, his heart for charitable causes, and his expertise in fundraising made his contributions to our council invaluable. It was perfect timing as a result of AMIT’s commitment to make Los Angeles a driving force for their United States operations. We couldn’t have done that without Doug’s efforts and contributions.”
Douglas has been a part of the Williams family business since 1979. He also serves as Chairman of the Board for the Vernon Chamber of Commerce, a Board Member for the Jewish National Fund, a Shareholder, Treasure and Board Member of National Records Center, Inc. and participates as a member of VISTAGE. Additionally, he has served on several nonprofit boards, including Stephen S. Wise Temple, Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles, and Heschel Day School.
